My name is Heather Moore, and I am the school counselor at Necedah Middle and High School. I am excited to work with our 6th to 12th grade students this year. I have been working as a school counselor for 3 years. Prior to that, I worked as a special education teacher for elementary and middle school. Over the years, I have had the privilege to work with amazing students and families to develop skills and set goals for the future.
I attended the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh where I received dual certification in special education (learning disabilities and emotional disturbance). In 2017, I received a master's degree in education from the University of Wisconsin Stout. In December of 2023, I completed my master's program in school counseling at the University of Wisconsin Superior. It has been a journey to get where I am but I truly enjoy my position at Necedah.
My hobbies and interests include reading, baking, camping, and taking walks with my dog. Many of my baking recipes come from my grandmother and I love sharing the creations. I haven't traveled far in my camping adventures but hope to spread my wings a little more in the future summers.
I look forward to working with our middle and high school students this school year. The best way to reach me is by giving me a call from 7:30 am to 3:20 pm or sending an email. Throughout the day, I may have a variety of activities taking place, so don't hesitate to leave a message. Your questions and concerns are important to me and I would love to hear from you.
